TuTech Innovation GmbH (TuTech) is a private company with a public mission to promote effective transfer and exploitation of knowledge, especially by sharing and using science and technology for wealth creation and the benefit of society. For almost two decades we have been helping businesses work with Hamburg University of Technology. Today we support collaboration between all Hamburg higher education institutes and provide services to universities and businesses further afield.

We offer a range of services to support knowledge transfer. We are skilled at linking researchers and other specialists with those who see a market opportunity or have a problem that needs solving. We are good at finding resources to make ideas happen, such as national and EU funding. We are sensitive to the needs of SMEs, and we know how to make political programmes work in practice. From the outset TuTech has been involved in European research funding programmes. Today we are one of the prime movers with an exceptional network of contacts. 

TuTech is at home in all disciplines; topics range from participatory democracy to aircraft construction. Our ability to manage large, complex coalitions of public and private organisations is recognised nationally and internationally. In Germany TuTech is responsible for two major biotechnology clusters and a flagship project on climate change. In Europe we are also a respected voice on innovation and research policies.
