The cluster BIOREFINERY2021 is a joint project between partners from academia and industry forming a unique consortium. The expertise of the partners covers all relevant fields required to develop the biorefinary of the future including microbiologists, chemists, engineers and economists.

The Cluster BIOREFINERY2021 coordinates the expert knowledge of 7 industrial companies and 9 partners of academia. Through network-ing of all partners the application of fundamental knowledge in the manufacture of bioethanol, biogas and high value products for the chemical industry throughout the entire value-added structure from thermal processes to an economically feasible biorefinery concept is ensured.
